Doris Mash by Doris Mash (31)

Time flies : This morning we said good bye to the first of our friends staying with us for this Christmas. Where did the time fly? It just feels like it was all over too soon and I could quite happily have it last a bit longer. (posted Dec 29, 11:59pm)

MissMeliss: Bathtub Mermaid by MissMeliss (29)

A Day Without Coffee : I made some tea and toast, and, somewhere, found the energy to start a batch of chicken soup in the crockpot and crashed again, woke up later, starving and somehow thought a peanut butter and banana sandwich would be okay for a lunch…and got lucky. I think I was craving comfort foods. (posted Dec 29, 10:38pm)

Another Spot of Randomness by Alanna the Hobbit (28)

Holidailies Day 29: Joy : Depression is a bitch. Why am I talking about this? One, because I honestly think that it's nothing to be ashamed of and frankly, other people talking about their struggles in this area has helped me tremendously. (posted Dec 29, 9:45pm)

Funny the World by Bev Sykes (32)

The Last Christmas : When we got home, Walt was feeling sick, with slight fever, headache, and upset stomach. He has gone to bed for the night. Jeri has gone off to Ned and Marta's with their friend Greg and who knows when they will be back again. I am sitting here, about to dive into the holiday episode of Here Come the Midwives, ... Where's My Plan? by John (31)

Late December Sunday : I woke up this morning in the Cleveland area, and I type this at the end of the day back home in Indiana. I woke up this morning with my wife and daughters (including our canine daughter), but I'll be going to sleep with just my 4-legged girl. (posted Dec 29, 8:46pm)

Hat on Top, Coat Below by Karen D (22)

Holiday Afterglow : Holiday stuff showing up too soon bothers me, like Christmas nail polish in stores before Halloween, but I rather enjoy holiday decor hanging around after its big day. (To a point; overlapping the next holiday is just as bad as arriving before a previous one.) (posted Dec 29, 8:19pm)

Help for the Holidays by porchsitter (31)

Easing into the Bible : I know people who truly study the Bible and it embarrasses me to admit, I’m not one of them. I do read the New Testament frequently–certain bits of the Old Testament also frequently–the rest, not so much. (posted Dec 29, 7:17pm)

Sittin' and Ridin' : We were rolling along surprisingly well until we hit San Francisco where from the outskirts of the city to the Golden Gate bridge was one solid line of cars...the traffic advisory on the radio said that "The Golden Gate Bridge is a nightmare." Nice to have our opinion backed by competent authorities. (posted Dec 29, 7:01am)

Notes from Zone 4 by Lisa & Frank Richards (30)

Just me and my chickens : Then we have what we call “the little coop”. I picked up this one off of craigslist for $100 early last summer and it has served us very well. I raised several batches of young chicks there, and then moved them to the barn stall once they were old enough to integrate with the rest of the flock. (posted Dec 29, 6:09am)

Holidailies 25: Warhammer tips for base painting : I'm an avid Warhammer painter and over time I've found a few things that work well, one of them is my cereal spray paint box. Most figurines require a coat of base paint so you can paint over it with other paints. This ensures the paint sticks well, especially on non-plastic figurines though I also do this for plastic figurines. (posted Dec 29, 2:19am)

MissMeliss: Bathtub Mermaid by MissMeliss (29)

Bubbles : When you’re in the ocean, you pay attention to the bubbles because they tell you which way is UP. I remember a couple of times, when I was a kid, and reckless, being rolled in whitewater when I misjudged where a wave would break. (posted Dec 28, 10:25pm)

Another Spot of Randomness by Alanna the Hobbit (28)

More Than Glamour : Back in March, I re-read a teen novel I first read the year I wanted to be a nun. I read ten novels or story collections in 2013. This was not the worst, but it was, probably, the most fun. I might even get myself a pink twinset. I already have the pearls. (posted Dec 28, 1:25pm)
