Best Color : To differentiate which identical item was given to which of us, our parents, early in our youths, assigned us each a color. Best Sleeping Position : I woke up one morning feeling incredibly alert and as well-rested as I'd ever felt. I felt very comfortable. It Rained Upside Down : It seemed that winter provided the most violent wave action, as cold storms were carried by the jet stream from Alaska and the Arctic Circle to our particular parallel. We Will Go Home : We had spoken before of renting a car to drive up there sometime. We really meant to go sometime this fall but we could never quite save enough money for a mild trip like that. Now that we have a car, it’s not only that we will go, but that we can. (posted Dec 11, 1:11am)

Snowpocalypse : I spent the entirety of Christmas Night in his company. It was cold, and quiet, and we loved the hell out of it. Though we were stuck at his station, it was as if we were the only two people in town awake on this magical night, aside from the random customer and a couple taxi-driving buddies of his. Snowmen of Yore : I curled my fingers into claw-like things, shoving them into the snow, grabbing a handful of the frozen precipitation. I used my other ungloved hand to help smoosh the stuff into a ball, and then flung it into the short trees lining the driveway, grinning to myself as a little snow fell off the boughs the snowball had dislodged.
