Music Advent Day 7 Posted on Dec 7, 2019, 11:12 am
I was introduced to Great Big Sea by Kymm Zuckert, on a mix tape long ago.

Music Advent Day 6 Posted on Dec 6, 2019, 8:12 am
This particular track is Frente! covering a song that had previously been covered by Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm on The Flintstones.

Music Advent Day 5 Posted on Dec 5, 2019, 10:12 am
When Eduard Khil came to the general attention of the Internet as "the Trololo guy," I sought out some of his other stuff and found that I really liked it.

Must-See TV Posted on Dec 4, 2019, 11:12 pm
I think I'm going to have to accept that any longer entries this month are gonna be done over the weekends.

This is just to say... Posted on Dec 3, 2019, 9:12 am
Has anybody tackling the William Carlos Williams meme gotten around to the triolet form? I feel like somebody should. Might as well be me.

So here's where I'm at right now... Posted on Dec 2, 2019, 9:12 am
It occurs to me that I've just neatly set up three paragraphs where I'm caught between different categories of large hegemonic systems. I hadn't actually planned that.

Holidailies 2019 Begins! Posted on Dec 1, 2019, 10:12 am
I had planned to put an entry here in January, on the occasion of this journal's 20th anniversary. It was also going to be this journal's final entry

Dinos! Posted on Dec 10, 2016, 12:12 am
This is just a link to today's #MusicAdvent song. Hardly counts, but oh well.

Dare to Be Stupid Posted on Dec 9, 2016, 1:12 am
Moana was excellent, the best thing to come out of the House of Mouse in years. Well done, Pamie et al.

Yet Another Friggin' Filler Entry Posted on Dec 8, 2016, 12:12 am
Today was the first day since the onset of the cold that I've been within normal operating parameters. So that's good!

Tonight's copout entry Posted on Dec 7, 2016, 12:12 am
When time is up, it's / Time for couplets.

Holidailies Triolet XIII Posted on Dec 5, 2016, 10:12 pm
I'm exhausted. Let's just go straight to the annual triolet.

Matilda Posted on Dec 4, 2016, 10:12 pm
So here's the thing: the Broadway production of Matilda: The Musical closes this coming January 1st. There are only a few weeks left to see it. And you should want to see it, because it is so good, you guys.

Who ya gonna call in sick? Posted on Dec 3, 2016, 10:12 pm
On the bright side, the extended cut of Ghostbusters: Answer the Call showed up in the mail today.

Still Sick Posted on Dec 2, 2016, 10:12 pm
Today... still sick, and increasingly cranky about it.

Another Year, Another Holidailies... Posted on Dec 1, 2016, 9:12 pm
I've been out with a cold-or-something most of this week.

More Catching Up Posted on Dec 20, 2015, 9:12 pm
Pizza and tea endorsements; more Music Advent.

Assorted Books Posted on Dec 16, 2015, 10:12 pm
I don't get any royalties, but it's a good book and I'm proud of it.

Past and Presents Posted on Dec 14, 2015, 12:12 am
The latter is 20 years old, but it's still fun, and maybe even useful

More Earworms! Posted on Dec 12, 2015, 1:12 am
Also, I'm short on sleep. So have some more music.

Catching Up Posted on Dec 9, 2015, 5:12 pm
Self is not a morning person. Self is also typing this while only halfway through the morning cuppa tea, which may help explain why Self sounds a bit like Elmo?

RING-DING-DING-DING Posted on Dec 6, 2015, 11:12 pm
Tonight is going to be another cop-out entry, but at least Music Advent is a thing.

Holidailies Triolet XII Posted on Dec 5, 2015, 10:12 pm
It may be a copout, but it's a *traditional* copout.

Move along, nothing to see here... Posted on Dec 4, 2015, 11:12 pm
Is the arrangement cheesy? Absolutely.

Ease on Down the Road Posted on Dec 3, 2015, 11:12 pm
Besides, the song is seasonably appropriate; it's based on a classic Christmas movie... Die Hard.

B is for Blah Posted on Dec 2, 2015, 11:12 pm
Also, I covered "Blank Space" a couple months ago.

Holidailies is Here Again! Posted on Dec 1, 2015, 12:12 am
Welcome back to the one time of year when I remember that I have an online journal, and attempt to update it every day!
